Almost every country had gone through a phase of colonization, and there are various kind of effect to the country, some are negative, some are positive.
Great Britain was one of the dominant countries that ruled a large portion of land by the use of colonization. Many of the colonization include the United States (13 colonies), Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, and most importantly India. When the Mughal power started to decline in India English influence increased. The English were able to defeat the Indian cavalry easily due to their lack of structure. As time went on the English began invading small parts of India which includes Orissa, Bihar, Bengal and a land north from the Ganges running up to the famously known capital of India, Delhi during 1818. However the English encountered small set back, a setback that includes Ranjit Singh. Ranjit Singh was the powerful Sikh emperor during British rule and prevents Punjab from being invaded. Although he prevented the English from invading, it was until his death the British decided to move in, causing again more colonization of India. The colonization includes the Indus River because the British thought of the beneficiary of trade. In 1839 the English took Karachi, Sukkur and Bukkur. Although much of the Indian fostered anger towards the English, the English help create better agriculture, transportation that includes the railroad, and a system for the government. In this case, Britain helped modernize India at some points which were the positive effect on the colonization.
